The Red Rooster
Located in the heart of Harlem, Red Rooster celebrates the roots of American cuisine and the neighborhood’s rich cultural traditions. The kitchen honors the diverse flavors that have shaped Harlem, while the dining room serves as a vibrant gathering place for guests, neighbors, artists, and musicians.
Inspired by the legendary Harlem speakeasy that once welcomed neighbors, jazz greats, and cultural icons such as Adam Clayton Powell Jr., Nat King Cole, and James Baldwin, they are honored to carry the Red Rooster name forward. Co-creators Andrew Chapman and Marcus Samuelsson envisioned a restaurant that would uplift its community through food, culture, and opportunity.
Red Rooster Harlem is proud to be a home for comfort food, creativity, and the unmistakable spirit of Harlem.
CHEF MARCUS SAMUELSSON is a globally renowned chef. Samuelsson was the youngest person to ever receive a three-star review from The New York Times and has won eight James Beard Foundation Awards.
